Advertising/Sponsorship on UpperMidwestFlyFishing.com

UpperMidwestFlyFishing is now accepting advertising on our site.  Despite our current economic woes, now is an excellent time to advertise on  UpperMidwestFlyFishing.com (UMFF).  People will still be fishing, maybe even more in the years come.  Fly fishing in the Upper Midwest is an attractive, affordable alternative to more expensive destinations like Alaska, Montana, Oregon, etc.  We expect many anglers to spend more time on our waters this year, anglers who are consumers of your services and goods.  Even though there is snow on the ground, now is the perfect time to make Upper Midwest fly anglers aware of your services or products as most of us are already thinking about and planning our spring and summer outings.  We make it easy to advertise on UMFF, we will even create ads for you.  And, to help with the tough times our normal annual advertising rate pays for continuous ads through July 31st, 2011.  In order to have your message have the most impact, we will are strictly limiting the number of "run-of-site" advertisers in order to keep ad clutter to a minimum to maximize the effectiveness of each ad.  Each advertiser will have access to their own control panel where they can track the number of times their ad is seen and the number of click throughs that the ads receive.

UpperMidwestFlyFishing.com is the only website focused exclusively on fly fishing in the Upper Midwest states of Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota; and, northern Iowa, Illinois, Indiana & Ohio.  UMFF attracts a wide range of anglers who fish for trout, warm water species and steelhead & salmon.  Many also travel to fly fishing destinations outside of the Upper Midwest.  Advertisements will rotate not only on the main website but also on UMFF's FlFishing Forums and Photo Gallery as well.  The Photo Gallery already has over 7,542 pictures in it and has been viewed over 3,669,943 times.  In addition to "run-of-site" advertising, UMFF is launching a monthly HTML e-newsletter.  This monthly e-newsletter will go out to not only the registered members of UMFF's fly fishing forums but also to the list of people who have signed up for the newsletter but are not registered on the forums.  Ads will be rotated on the e-newsletter as well, i.e. - what ad an e-newsletter reader sees will vary and all advertisers will have their ads displayed.

Advertising rates are very affordable, just $225.00 through July 31st, 2011.  How do you get started?  Easy, make a payment of $225.00 and send us your ads.  We need a 125 x 125 button, a 120 x 240 vertical banner; and, a 468 x 60 banner ad.  We will also be able to use ads of different sizes if you have them.  Don't have any on-line ads?  No problem, for an additional $100.00 we will create two ads for you.  Of course, you will have to supply us with pictures, artwork and sense of what you want to promote.  And, if you need a website, we can create one and host it for you as well.

Why are we taking advertising now and where will your ad dollars go?  Part of the ad money will go to the website's operating costs and planned software upgrades.  Some will go to the events that we will be hosting in 2009.  We are planning on 2 - 3 small Spey gathering (not Spey claves) where folk can try Spey rods and receive free casting instructions.  These Spey gatherings are based on the successful ones that we have ran over the last 18 months.  Most importantly, your ad dollars will do good works in the Upper Midwest.  Over the last year UMFF has given back to the fly fishing community.  UMFF donated approximately 24 rods, reels and other tackle to troops in Iraq.  We also donated a Winston WT rod to the West Fork Sportsman's Club - TU Dare fundraiser in 2007.  In 2008 donated a Winston rod and Abel reel to Hiawatha TU's (MN) annual fund raiser and we donated 7'9" 5 wt Chris Carlin bamboo to the September West Fork Sportsman's Club' fundraiser.  In 2009 and beyond, UMFF will continue to support both Hiawatha TU and WFSC and we are looking for other stream improvement groups to support.

If you know that you would like to advertise on www.UpperMidwestFlyFishing.com, Great!   We accept payment by credit card and checks via PayPal (you do not need a PayPal account to use PayPal).  Once you have signed-up via PayPal I will contact and we will start work on your ad program.  We also offer website design and web hosting options.
